This program provides excellent preparation for a shortened apprenticeship as an automotive service technician. Students spend about half their time in a shop setting with up-to-date equipment carrying out repairs to manufacturers' specifications and customers' satisfaction. Business and communications courses will better prepare you in your career and provide opportunities to advance. The maintenance and repair of the large volume of vehicles in Alberta provides many employment opportunities for well-trained mechanics and technicians. Each year of the program is 30 weeks in duration. The location for this program is the Clayton Carroll Automotive Centre at SAIT's main campus.
