The Administrative Information Management (AIM) two-year diploma is a specialized program in the School of Business - the only program of its kind in Canada. The program is a mix of business theory courses, practical information management and hands-on computer applications training. AIM is designed to provide graduates with the confidence and skills they need to succeed in business. Graduates have a firm understanding of how to gather, analyze and present various types of business information. It is a two-year; on-campus program which makes extensive use of SAIT issued laptop computers. Business courses include: project management, business studies, design studies, report and proposal writing, office administration, accounting, supervision, training and event management. Computer courses include: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, project management, web page design, desktop publishing, digital imaging and accounting software applications. At the end of the second year, students complete a one-month practicum in a business environment and will be able to choose a career in a wide variety of exciting and challenging industries.
